Attorney Kat Marquis
Attorney Kathleen (Kat) Marquis has over twenty years of professional legal experience. As a commercial litigator and condominium law practitioner, she has been involved with settling and resolving thousands of cases in her legal career. Attorney Marquis is a Court-Certified Mediator. She negotiates and resolves complex, multi-party disputes in connection with her litigation and mediation practices.
Kat is experienced in diverse areas of law. She graduated from McGill University in Montreal with the University’s highest honors: University Scholar & Great Distinction. Kat received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She won the R.W. Stevenson International Student Award and other awards during her time at McGill.
Kat went on to graduate with Cum Laude honors from Suffolk University Law School in 1995. She received the Distinguished CLEO fellowship for all three years of law school. She was also Suffolk University’s Cappiello Scholarship recipient. She was an editor on Transnational Law Review and has published several law review and numerous legal articles.
Attorney Marquis was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 1995. She began her career as a Litigation Associate in Manchester with McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton (now McLane Middleton). Her family life brought a move to Philadelphia, PA where she practiced with Kats, Jamison, van der Veen & Associates.
In 2003, Attorney Marquis launched a litigation consultant practice, when her family moved to Ohio. She worked closely with the Mills Law Offices in the Columbus area for over ten years. Kat has also been an Adjunct Faculty member at colleges and law schools in Pennsylvania and Ohio, teaching subjects such as Contracts, Business Law, and Legal Ethics.
Since moving home to New England in 2006, Kat continues practicing law. She practiced commercial litigation and condominium law with a boutique law firm in Manchester, NH through the end of 2016. Kat has been trained and certified in Alternative Dispute Resolution, becoming a Certified New Hampshire Superior Court Rule 32 Neutral evaluator/mediator in 2009. Attorney Marquis trains and consults with Executives, Boards, Managers, Attorneys, Realtors and other Professionals. Her courses are CEU-credit approved by CAMICB, New Hampshire and Maine Real Estate Commissions, and qualify for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit with the New Hampshire Bar Association.
